How this site makes money, stated plainly.

The short version
Some links on this site may earn us a commission in future. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes what the selector tells you.
Current status
As of the date above we are not enrolled in any affiliate program, and there are no affiliate links anywhere on this site. If that changes, this page will name the programs we have actually joined. We will not list a program here before it has approved us.
How it would work
We may in future take part in affiliate programs run by manufacturers or retailers. If you follow such a link and buy something, that company may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same either way.
What commission does not affect
This matters more than the disclosure itself, so we want to be specific about it:
- Commission plays no part in whether a model is included in our database.
- Commission plays no part in the selector's output. A model is ruled out when a verified manufacturer figure genuinely fails a constraint you gave, and included when it passes. That logic is described in our methodology and makes no reference to commercial relationships.
- Within each result group, models are listed alphabetically. We publish no score and no ranking, so there is nothing for commission to move.
- We do not accept payment for inclusion, for a better result, or for more favourable wording.
Where you would see it
Wherever a commercial link appears, it will be marked clearly and close to the link itself, so that it is visible before you click rather than buried in a footer. The wording we intend to use is:

Prices
Prices and availability are set by the retailer or manufacturer, not by us, and can change at any time. Always confirm the current price on the seller's own site before buying.
